Change by Design report launch: Collective imaginations for contested sites in Euston

Change by design posterHosted by the UCL Urban Laboratory, Architecture Sans Frontières UK (ASF-UK) will launch their report on the impact and threats to the community around the Euston area of London vis-a-vis the foreseen expansion of Euston station to make space for the new High Speed 2 rail line and terminus.

Change by Design: Collective imaginations for contested sites in Euston has been developed using participatory design and planning methods as a means to explore people’s understanding of and visions for the area, published following a workshop run by ASK-UK in September 2014 in partnership with CitizensUK and with the support of The Bartlett Development Planning Unit and UCL Urban Laboratory.

The launch will bring together different actors and stakeholders active in Euston, as well as architecture/planning practices who have engaged in local change in other areas of London, and are interested in discussing what the existing and potential avenues for meaningful citizen participation in this type of processes consist of.
